HAPPY, HAPPY DAYS!

Painting for Homeless Animals...Our passion is painting...and Our Blessing is when the animal
gets their FOREVER HOME!
Happy news!
" DEBO"...ADOPTED! from BONES (Beagles of New England States)
I had the pleasure of using Debo as my MUSE for 2 paintings for BONES!
I got the word this morning from his new "mom" Judy that he is lovingly adopted and they can't be more thrilled with him. They already love this handsome boy dearly!
Debo was the model for my "I Will BEE Happy" and "A Wish on the Moon" oils.

ADOPTED!!!
I just listed the finished painting with "PHOEBE" as my MUSE for OLD DOG HAVEN...I started it when she was listed on their site for Adoption...and then got the word that she had indeed
found her FOREVER HOME!
the painting is still available (see our ART BLOG) but the good news is another SENIOR dog
finds a loving home for the rest of her days!
****
SO....That is how the day begins...can it get any better than this?
I planned on starting my day at the easel...jump right in, get painting...
I thought, no...let me get some news written for our ART HELPING ANIMALS NEWS BLOG first.
WELL....I can share TWO happy ending stories. SO that makes my day just soar!
The artists in our AHA fellowship paint to help rescues by supporting animals in their care with donations from the sale of our work. THAT is our mission. THAT is HOW we help them.
AND THEN....you get the news that animals you have painted have FOUND THEIR FOREVER HOME...it sends you over the moon!
it has to...it is what this is all about for an artist painting to help!

The Faces of Rescue

These animals are WHY we choose to do what we do!
Introducing our currently supported rescues represented by their own animals needing homes or being cared for by the rescues, sanctuaries or centers :
Top Row (L-R) Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue, Willing Hearts Dalmatian Rescue, Saluki Tree of Life Alliance, Save the Dalmatians.
Second Row (L-R) National Airedale Rescue, True Blue Rescue, Turtle Ridge Wildlife Center, Beagles of New England States.
Middle Row (L & R) Bama Bully Rescue & Northern Rockies Regional Office of HSUS
Bottom Row (L-R) Tabby's Place Cat Sanctuary, Old Dog Haven Senior Dog Hospice, Cascades Raptors Center, Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary

This month the Artists of Art Helping Animals reached a milestone of giving...we, as an artist fellowship and since our beginnings, have donated over $ 70,000.00 to homeless animals from coast to coast and internationally.

This collaborative effort of giving is something we are very proud of as a small group of working artists. In February 2010 we will have completed 4 yrs of service.

These donations have had real impact on the lives of animals in rescue. Each artist has also supported other rescue groups in their own local areas and have donated time, hands on support, sponsorships of urgent need animals and have given supplies & items directly to shelters.

You can read about each AHA artist and more information on each rescue on the main page of the ART HELPING ANIMALS website: www.arthelpinganimals.com and view available art that helps homeless animals on the art blog: www.arthelpinganimals.blogspot.com

Consider giving the gift of art for the holidays and know a donation to rescue will be made with every gift.
Support rescue and help homeless animals with the gift of original art!
Please share out links with your animal loving friends...as always, thanks so very much to all who have supported our heart felt efforts of helping homeless animals in need.

Thanksgiving...Make it a Month for GIVING, Thanks!

This month of November is already upon us...thoughts of family and sharing bounty at our traditional THANKSGIVING feasts will be in our thoughts as we prepare for the season of giving.
I was visiting the Facebook site this morning and saw a Rescue Shelter Challenge telling of a matching gift for rescue for one of my local Rhode Island shelters(Friends of Bristol Animal Shelter.) Allen Shawn Feinstein charities offers matching gifts when you give to several of the local orgs at this time every year. A wonderful tradition from this local benefactor that really helps make a difference to charitable giving.
So it inspired me today to make
the whole MONTH of NOVEMBER a way to GIVE THANKS and not just on THANKSGIVING!
***
Lets make it a whole month of giving thanks in many ways:
DONATE your time, your items, your dollars (what you can spare) and your heart to help your local rescues and organizations that help others this whole month.
***
~Clean out your closets and give clothes that keep others warm.
~ Donate old quilts or blankets to your local rescues that might need blankets for their kennels.
(find out what is on their needs list- visit their sites)
~ Drop off some canned goods to your food banks.
~Donate some dog and cat food to your local shelters.
~Drop a donation to your local shelter via PayPal or send a check.
Purchase ART from ART HELPING ANIMALS artists who paint to help rescue!
When planning your gift giving remember a nice piece of original art that helps a rescue we support.
Every little bit helps others ...make ThanksGiving a time to Give to help those who need it the most. We are the voices of the animals who wait in shelters for the family that has yet to find them.
Please give what you can.
Happy ThanksGiving this Month!
Lets Share Peace~ Love ~ and Hope!
