DARE to Rescue!

Welcome kids!
Today's Blog is focused on the work of D.A.R.E., that is: Dachshund Adoption Rescue and Education(DARE) is a regional all-volunteer non-profit rescue organization. DARE is one of the "official" ART HELPING ANIMALS charities that the AHA artists support with a variety of styles and mediums of artwork. The charities are listed on the home page of for more info.

Visit DARE's wonderful site to see the Doxies that are in need of adoption.
These compact little dogs are the best companions. Dare is doing wonderful work with many special needs Dachshunds and their stories are posted on the site with updates. You can even become a "Buddy" and help support some of the dogs in serious need of medical help. The volunteers rehab these doxies to health, for adoption. Pictures are available, too. Please take a look!
This painting (above) entitled The Kiss is currently offered to assist DARE by being listed on Ebay for auction.
The little Doxie was stretching up to give a visitor a little welcoming kiss.
Just too adorable!
