Polar Bears Poised for Threatened Status

On June 14, 36 U.S. representatives sent a letter urging the Fish and Wildlife Service to list the polar bear as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. The best available science shows that the polar bear may go extinct in the next century as global warming melts its sea-ice habitat, and listing the bear will provide important protections to ensure this is not its fate. Please call the representative(s) from your state who signed the letter and thank him or her for supporting the listing of the polar bear!
