WHY WE DO THIS WORK !

This is the reason for the work we do...
YOU'VE SEEN HIS PICTURE AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE,
Please read his story....

Hi there! My name is Ludo and I'm one of the dogs from the animal cruelty cases (You can use the links at the top of the page to read all about it). It's hard to know much about my past. My teeth are in horrible shape - so they really don't know how old I am. When I came to DARE - I was miserable & didn't trust anyone. I itched all the time and made my skin bleed. Since I had been itching & chewing myself for so long, I had tons of hair stuck in my teeth - the vet had to pull it all out. Foster Mom gave me baths & medicine & made me wear this silly shirt to keep me warm and to help my hair grow back.
Well, all that medicine & love is working!!! I'm starting to get fuzzy little hair on all my bald spots! Foster Mom says I'm doing great & am a real lover. I love toys - what wonderful things they are! She has to pull them out of my mouth before I will eat & I always take a couple to bed with me. My tail is on overdrive - never have I been so happy - if I see someone or someone talks to me - my whole butt wiggles! I love to snuggle into my humans and give them lots of kisses. I also love to come running when I hear my foster people coming home!
When I am all the way better, they said they are going to "fix" me & give me a dental cleaning. Not sure what that means but Foster Mom says I won't be so interested in the girls around here anymore! When I am all better, I will even be available for adoption!!! My vet visits & medications have been very expensive. Not just for me but for all the other dogs that came into DARE with me from Bradford County. Pretty soon you can read about the other dogs but in the meantime you can see some of them here. We all have meds, shampoos, vet visits & tests! Plus, when we are all better - we will all need to be vaccinated, neutered or spayed & have dentals.
Please help DARE continue to help doggies like us! Even a dollar or two will help! Now I'm not good at math but I think 2 + 2 + 2 equals my heartworm medication for a month! Or, you can sign up to be my buddy! If you have any questions about me - please email my Foster Mom & ask her CJP@DAREtoRescue.com
You can help Ludo sending a check or money order to:
