The GOOD NEWS / the BAD NEWS....
READ ALL ABOUT IT!
I just got an email from Susan, the Dalmatian Guardian Angel over at DALMATIAN RESCUE of TAMPA BAY...she has been helping wtih this case and told me that the GOOD NEWS is they will be helping find loving homes for the 2 Dalmatians who the police got to in time. The bad news is that the dalmatian Alex was near death and the kindest thing that could be done for him was euthansia.
I did email the channel that reported the story and voiced my comments.
My voice is little...but when we all shout together we make a mighty noise that can be heard all the way to heaven!
Please pass this link around and share your disgust for bad things that happen to good dogs for no good reason. Lets educate as many as we can that we won't stand for this meaness and waste of life.
thanks!

BEFORE & AFTER
What a difference some care and love make.
Meet LouDog...
This 1.5 yr old girl was rescued from a FLORIDA shelter.
Her story is like so many.
STRIKE ONE!
She was turned into a shelter by her original family who just didn't want her any more.
STRIKE TWO!
She was adopted and then returned after one month because her 2nd family was moving.
And THEN...
Animal control personally went to beg our foster dad from DALMATIAN RESCUE OF TAMPA BAY to take her because she was so adorable and he did!
SAVED!
One very lucky girl. Just a baby really...already such a hard life and would have been put down if the agent for Animal Control had not intervened.
She is going to be spayed this week...she had kennel cough and like so many rescues in Florida, is heartworm positive. She will be treated.
She deserves a secure and loving home and life!
I will be painting her for charity. She will be a "star" and we will shine a little light on her and for others like her who have similar stories.
One animal at a time....every life matters!

Fundraiser Photo Contest for "Save the Dalmatians"

This photo of the late Dalmatian puppy Scout has been entered into the Orange County Register Wine Dog Label contest. Please click on her picture to read her bio. The winner of the contest will have their picture placed on a bottle of custom wine. If Scout is the winner her foster mother plans to auction it off to benefit Save the Dalmatians and help defray the nearly $6,000 spent to save the puppies in the litter (the remaining survivors are now in loving permanent forever homes). Below is the link to the website/contest. Feel free to forward this blog to family and friends and ask them to vote to help benefit Save the Dalmatians and honor Scout's short but very meaningful life.
Please copy and past the following address into your web browser.

Seeing Spots ...Coast to Coast.
"Sneakers" is a Dal that is looking for a home...he did inspire this little painting to help the rescue help him.
Across the country there are Dalmatian rescues saving, rehabbing and rehomeing DALMATIANS.
Dalmatians have always been my passion and I am happy when I can help a little to raise awareness and funds to for them.
I am owned by Lizzie, the most spoiled with love Dal on the planet...it is a BIG LOVE...and when I see how well she is loved and the life she lives (THEY ALL DESERVE IT!) it makes me want to do what I can to help those who have missed out on what she enjoys so well.
This painting is currently on ebay
and available to help Dalmatian Rescue of Tampa Bay. An all volunteer rescue that fosters the Dals rescued from desperate situations and kill shelters. www.dalmatianrescuetampa.tripod.com for details to see what they do. 20% of the sale goes to help their Dals receiving medical care.
I am so fortunate to be able to use my art and creativity to help three different Dal Charities, Save the Dalmatians...in CA, Willing Hearts Dalmatian Rescue... OH, MD,PA area (2 official Art Helping Animals supported rescues) and now Dalmatian Rescue of Tampa Bay in FL. SPOTS Coast to coast.
I will be " seeing spots" for some time to come...and these rescues and their wonderful Dals make a perfect Muse to keep me inspired to help!
ART OPENS HEARTS!
