15% Donations for the FL Shar-pei Rescue

I have a web link on the FL Sharpei Rescue site, and we have been waiting for quite some time for someone to purchase art so that I may make a donation for the rescue. The Shar-pei is a special breed, and they often times need surgery on the eyes. So, I had offered 15% of my art sales to them and posted an event a few times on FB. But, after many months, yet no orders to paint a Shar-pei. This weekend my first order came in, and this client wants two portraits and three ornaments. YEA!! This 15% is going to be a nice little donation.

Here is the first portrait I did.

Behind the Scenes - ART THAT HELPS!

So much work goes on behind the scenes that it is almost too much to mention.

But I will.

Art Helping Animals is a very small fellowship...less than 20 artists at any given time that work their brushes off to help homeless animals in need.

We have contributed over 68,000.00 and counting to help shelter animals by donating a portion of our art sales to non-profit rescues coast-to-coast and around the world.

We do it "ONE ANIMAL AT A TIME, ONE BRUSH STROKE AT A TIME"
and many people say it must be "fun" to paint...to create art.

Yes....that is the easy part.

The rest of the time: we are working behind the scenes, each in our own way. We paint for our rescues as listed on our HOME PAGE http://www.arthelpinganimals.com/

We keep our own web venues going with updates and current work. (see the main site for ARTISTS list)

We work with our own favorite personal charities and rescues unaffiliated with AHA but "friends of AHA" as we have a network of loyal friends that support homeless animals with art and even more donations.

See the Social Networking sites here if you haven't joined with us!

Some of the artists participate in exhibits around the country, galleries, art competitions.
Some of us represent AHA on The DAILY PAINTER'S GALLERY week after week.

It is a labor of love that we do.

It takes dedication, real and true comittment and energy...the work BEHIND the easel is the elbow grease it takes to keep all the brushes in the air, to have something worthy to present to the public that will, ultimately, make a collector happy to hang fine art in their homes or work spaces and help save a life.

Continue our journey with us as ART HELPING ANIMALS goes forward to work to help the neediest get a second chance.
We are currently working to help our Focus Rescue Group SALUKI TREE OF LIFE ALLIANCE
with a collection of art from all the artists of Art Helping Animals...Please take a look at what is still available. All work sold will benefit the rescue! (link below)

BIG THANKS TO ALL OUR SUPPORTERS!
